Resource Family Orientation: Orientations are held at one of the Kamali’i offices monthly and provide interested persons an opportunity to learn about what it takes to be a Kamali’i Foster Family Agency Resource Family. A brief overview of the Agency and the children that we work with is provided and questions are answered. The Orientation must be attended prior to attending the Resource Family Training.
Resource Family Classes (1-8): An 8 class training event that covers 30 hours of classroom training in being a successful Kamali’i Foster Family Agency, Certified Foster Parent. Classes are held 2 times a week at our corporate office in Lake Elsinore. Participants must attend an Orientation Class before attending the classes.
CPR/First Aid Classes: A 6 hour class offered at the tail end of the Resource Family Approval training that provides participants a 2 year certification in CPR and First Aid.
ILP Classes: Independent Living Program for Kamali’i FFA teens ages 16-20 who are preparing for life outside of foster care. This 8 class series covers such topics as Career Building, Living Expenses, Housing, Transportation, Health & Hygiene and Success After Dependency. At completion of attending the classes and once all coursework is complete attendees receive a graduation incentive!
